ONE of North Wales’ most isolated farms has a new tenant.
Gareth Roberts and his wife Meriel have taken over Ty Pellaf – the 450-acre farm on Bardsey Island two miles off the Llyn coast.
The couple replace former tenants David and Libby Barndon who are moving to the Scottish isle of Muck in the Hebrides.
The Roberts were given the tenancy until the end of September but hope the deal will be extended.
Mr Roberts, who already farms 210 acres at Cwrt, near Aberdaron, said he was looking forward to expanding his own land holding.
