Training in the theory and operation of Fire Extinguishers.
(as outlined in the Employers Guide and recommended in B.S.5306-3:2000)
Fire Wardens Training
This may be formal or an informal presentation and would include the following.
- The fire wardens role.
- What to do in the event of a fire.
- Evacuation procedures.
- Raising the alarm.
- Informing the fire brigade.
- Types of fire extinguishers and how to extinguish a fire.
(unique procedures to the client may also be discussed with the instructor.)
The Video presentation will highlight various areas of fire safety including the following.
- The dangers of Smoke.
- Action to be taken in the event of a fire.
- Fire prevention procedures.
Requirements:- A suitable room in which to carry out the above, a television/video recorder , if available, would be helpful.
The Hands-On Training would include instruction on how to operate the 4 main types of fire extinguishers, Water, Foam, Dry Powder, and CO2 and on what fires to use them on.
Up to a maximum of 8 persons per session, lasting 4 hours duration.
The Cost of this course is £40 per person with a minimum charge of £200
Training Certificates for those attending will be supplied free.
